Expect to see Scottish landscapes and birds rendered in oils and watercolours all around the walls of Philippa’s upstairs studio. It is situated in a traditional Crail building in a cute courtyard off Crail High Street. Visits to the Isle of May, Bass Rock, Cambo Gardens as well as the West Coast and the East Neuk have influenced her recent work. The studio is open at other times and by appointment, and Philippa is available to teach art and paint portraits to commission.
On Crail High Street outside the East Neuk Hotel, opposite you will see Shoregate, the road to the harbour. Now look left along the row of houses on the south side of the High Street for the small square archway labelled ‘The Maltings’. Go through the archway, or pend, across a small courtyard and up the external staircase ahead of you to the first floor flat, number 4. There is plenty of free parking on both sides of the High Street.
