Edinburgh Shoreline has an exciting new challenge underway called the 100 Species Project. As part of this ambitious project they are offering everyone a chance to get involved and respond creatively to one of the many species that lives (or lived) in and around the Firth of Forth and help raise awareness about its importance.
As an individual or as a group, artists can choose a species from the project map, learn about it and its habitat and create something to celebrate it – this can be anything from woodwork to a painting, modelling, Lego, knitting, poem, song, dance, musical piece, or a short video. Follow the link to Edinburgh Shorelines website where you can find out more information, see the map of all species to choose from and gain info on hubs that can be contacted with questions. The closest hubs are The Ecology Centre and Fife Coast and Countryside Trust.

If you are interested and would like to get involved, please confirm by email to Charlotte Barr who can update the map to include everyone, share ideas if needed, and offer a little information about specific species for those struggling to find it.
