The Christmas Market at the Bowhouse on 5th and 6th November was a great success. Our thanks go to everyone involved.
Thanks too, to everyone who attended our summer Open Studios 2022. This was the first full programme for three years. In 2021, Covid meant that most of our artists were unable to open their studios and houses. We did hold two very successful showcase weekends in the Bowhouse event space, so we are looking forward to going back there in November.
In 2020, it was impossible to schedule Open Studios weekends or the Winter Showcase, so we went virtual – a virtual tour of our artists, village by village; Open Studios became Online Studios; and we organised a virtual Winter Showcase. These are still available to view on our website.

It’s good to be back …
After a two year hiatus, East Neuk Open Studios returns in 2022 to being a full open studios event, with its pre-pandemic schedule of two weekends in June and July.
We currently have over fifty artists signed up, who will exhibit their work on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th June, and again the following weekend, 2/3 July.

There will be venues throughout the East Neuk, from Kingsbarns to Lower Largo via Crail, Cellardyke, Anstruther, Pittenweem, St Monans and Ardross.
“The last two years have been challenging and we have been forced to innovate with virtual events and the use of a large venue, the Bowhouse near St Monans, for a collective event – which turned out to be so successful that we are planning to hold another later this year.
“But for the summer, we are back in our own studios and exhibition spaces, providing the annual art trail through the wonderful fishing villages, wildlife and scenery of the East Neuk, which provide a source of inspiration for so many of our artists.”
