ENOS@20

This year’s East Neuk Open Studios is the twentieth since the event began in 2003.

With over 50 artists in 40 venues preparing to welcome visitors to their homes, studios and exhibition spaces, participation in the double-weekend opening schedule has returned to its pre-pandemic strength.

“This is a milestone for the organisation, in more ways than one,” said ENOS chairperson Philippa Mitchell.

“The twentieth year marks our recovery from the difficulties of Covid, and also our transition from an ad hoc organisation to a more formal structure that will allow us to explore new avenues for promoting the arts in the East Neuk of Fife. We hope to inspire more people to be creative and join us in our summer and winter exhibitions, and to take part in social, information and discussion events for artists.”

“Over the last twenty years, the membership of ENOS has grown to include a wide range of arts and crafts, with artists often creating work in a variety of media – imagery encompassing a wide ranging of painting and drawing techniques, graphic design and photography; and beautiful creations using media such fabrics, ceramics, stained glass and silver.

“Artworks are of course offered for sale, so there is a huge variety of items that can be bought to adorn home or office – or to wear. We are sure there is something to appeal to everybody, so please come to visit, view, and chat with our artists about their work.”

Studios are open 10.30am until 5pm, Saturdays and Sundays, 25/26 June & 2/3 July. Crail Town Hall will also open weekdays, 27th June to 1st July, from 1pm until 5pm. Check the website – https://www.eastneukopenstudios.org/ – for any other variations. All ENOS events are free to attend.
