” My jewellery combines textured and formed silver with interesting and unusual semi-precious gemstones. I have recently incorporated Jesmonite into my work alongside handmade silver pieces and semi- precious stones. The combination of these elements gives my work its signature design aesthetic.
” I often start with the stone itself or with the shape of a cast Jesmonite piece and this informs my design process. I use silver sheet, tube and wire to form my shapes. The metalsmithing techniques I use are doming, swaging, press forming, hammering and roll printing.
” My aesthetic is modern and bold with simple clean lines. My pieces are comfortable and wearable. They are often matt with subtle colourings. My aim is for my pieces to make an understated statement. I make small themed, evolving design ranges, limited editions and one off pieces. “
