Teresa Fynn
Flotsam and Jetsam Crafts is collaboration of two sisters, Teresa Fynn and Melanie Bruhn, who create unique framed pictures and greetings cards using “sea gems” and ceramics found on our local beaches as well as recycled yarn scraps and buttons, focussing on sustainability and the reuse of otherwise discarded objects.
Each piece is inspired from the natural and man-made environment of the East Neuk using what has been collected to represent animals, seascapes, landmarks, buildings and boats.
Most pictures are mixed media but maintain a simple aesthetic to ensure that the sea glass, ceramic or yarn is the focus of the piece.
