I’m a fisherman who works lobster creels during the summer months. The numerous sea urchins caught in the creels are mainly a bycatch.
The beautiful shells come in all shapes, sizes and colours so I keep some to combine with worn out or wrecked wooden lobster creel wood and driftwood collected from the local beaches during the winter months.
These combined with LED lights shining through the shells make beautiful ornaments to remind people of the sea and the East Neuk.
