Marysia Lachowicz is a photographic artist based in Fife. Her work is process driven and inspired by the environment around her. While working on a project about the decaying seawater bathing pools of Fife during 2019, she began making images within those pools using the cyanotype process. Each image is unique and captures a specific moment and place that reflects our forever changing and unpredictable coastal world. During photography residencies in Shetland and the Outer Hebrides, she has continued to use the cyanotype process combining this with black and white analogue photography of the coastal landscape.
