My paintings and drawings are inspired by the East Neuk of Fife. The old harbours and buildings provide colourful and interesting subjects. I also find inspiration from the flowers in my garden and the lovely gardens around Scotland. I work in a variety of media – oils, acrylics, inks and mixed media and I particularly enjoy pencil drawing. I like to experiment with mixtures of ink and acrylics or oil pastels and acrylic. I aim to make my paintings cheerful and full of warm, bright colours. In some I use a scraffiti technique for added effect.
